Man Flown to Hospital After Crashing Into Tree on Rt. 20 Near County Line


The West Virginia State Police is investigating a single vehicle accident that happened around 1:30 p.m. Friday on Route 20 near the Barbour/Upshur County line.

A man in his mid thirties was driving on Route 20 when he blacked out and struck a tree, according to firefighters.

The man was flown to Ruby Memorial Hospital with unknown injuries.

The Philippi Fire Dept, Warren District VFD, and Barbour County EMS responded to the scene.
