The Fairmont Community Development Partnership is working to make quality housing more affordable in the Fairmont community.
The partnership started building single houses to meet the rental needs of low income families.
Five rental homes were built last year, including a brand new triplex unit on Spence Street.
To celebrate its accomplishments, the FCDP is inviting the public to see the new unit and the impact it's having on the neighborhood.
"We'd like people to come out and celebrate with us in terms of accomplishing this one unit. But it's really the accomplishment of what's been going on in this neighborhood," said Bob Gribben, of FCDP.
The ribbon cutting will take place on Thursday, April 11 at 11:30 a.m.
Guided tours will be given after the ribbon cutting ceremony.
