Fairmont State's Isaac Thornton added yet another prestigious honor to his long list of achievements this week when the senior guard was named to the 2013 Reese's Division II All-Star game. The contest will be played at Freedom Hall in Louisville, Ky. on Friday, March 29.
The rosters were selected by the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC). Thornton was recently named a first team all-district pick by the NABC. Thornton, along with Shepherd's Chad Moore will represent the WVIAC in the game. The teams are composed of two senior student-athletes from each of the eight regions in Division II nominated by coaches and four at-large selections.
Thornton averaged 17.3 points per game for a Falcons team that reached the second round of the NCAA Tournament, ultimately losing to rival West Liberty 100-77.
