The Harrison County EMS moved into 24 hour shifts nearly three months ago. Crews now work 24 hours on, 48 hours off.
The idea was modeled off of EMS crews in Charleston in Huntington.
So far it's working out nicely in Harrison County too.
"The data suggests it's going very well. Our services have stayed the same or even improved. The staff is adjusting to the new schedules and seem to be very happy with it," said Rick Ross, of Harrison County EMS.
The EMS will continue monitoring how the 24 hour shifts are working.
