Residents of Reids Ridge and Fish Ridge in Marshall County were evacuated Friday afternoon as a precautionary measure. Fish Ridge Road was barricaded to keep traffic out. No injuries have been reported. The evacuation zone stretches 3-4 miles.

Crews have shut off the gas and no fire was reported. The 8-10 foot section of pipe was located underground and the force of the explosion unearthed the pipe.
