Passengers aboard several Carnival cruise ships, including the Triumph, Elation, Dream, and Legend, haven't had the smoothest sailing on their vacations.
Four Carnival cruise ships malfunctioned this month for different reasons including a failed emergency generator, steering issues, and not being able to meet optimal speed.
Despite these issues, business at Travel Emporium in Fairmont is going strong.
Beverly Slider, Travel Emporium travel agent, said clients don't seem concerned.
"I'm really sort of shocked and surprised that we haven't had more calls, and most of our travelers are travelers, and they're not going to let it ruin their vacation. They're going to go," Slider said.
Slider added that Royal Caribbean International and Princess Cruises are more popular than Carnival cruises, and that's been the case for a while now, even before Carnival started having problems.
Slider also said that if Carnival keeps having issues, "it may be a real problem in the long-run, but right now, it's still okay."
