West Virginia University is celebrating 84 years of dance at the school. "Dance Now" is a program that celebrates the 84th Annual dance concert.
The program features students and faculty. Morgantown Dance and the Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre also have guest performances in the show, and WVU's Hip Hop team made its debut this year.
"We're really grateful to the people who started the dance program so many years ago. We're really excited to announce that we'll have a dance major officially now," said junior Olivia Kinney, who is minoring in dance and performed in the show. "We're grateful to Yoav Kaddar, who is now our program director. It's a great time at West Virginia to dance."
The show features many different dance styles and movement studies. Performances will continue on Friday at 7:30 p.m. and on Saturday at 2:30 p.m. at the Lyell B. Clay Concert Theatre at the Creative Arts Center.
