West Virginia State Police have arrested and charged Margel Tenney, 57, of Rock Cave, with three counts of sexual abuse by a parent or guardian.
Tenney was arrested on March 13 and charged with two counts of sexual abuse after troopers in Lewis County received a statement from a 14-year-old juvenile victim stating that Tenney cornered her in his bedroom and sexually assaulted her.
Tenney told State Police in Lewis County that he didn't remember sexually assaulting the girl. He also said that he confessed to the lord and he doesn't need to confess to law enforcement.
State Police in Upshur County filed a third charge against Tenney after obtaining a statement from a juvenile victim that on or near November, 2011, Tenney had intercourse with her which resulted in her pregnancy, according to a criminal complaint.
The victim then stated that Tenney arranged her marriage after the baby was born.
Tenney is currently in Tygart Valley Regional Jail with bail set at $250,000. He is scheduled to appear in court on March 22 for a preliminary hearing.
