Alderson-Broaddus College wants to help Barbour County high school girls get ready for prom.
Alderson-Broaddus asked students on break this week to bring their old homecoming and prom dresses back with them.
The college's Office of Community Outreach will then sell the dresses to local girls for whatever they can afford.
Organizers said the event was such a hit last year, the students asked them to bring it back.
"There's no reason why a younger girl in high school shouldn't be able to have a nice prom dress, and there's girls here who had one, and they're never going to wear it again, so they might as well give it to somebody who could really use it," said Sarah Geist, of Alderson-Broaddus College.
The college said they'd welcome donated dresses from the community as well. Dresses can be dropped off at the college's Office of Student Affairs.
