The American Culinary Federation Education Foundation Accrediting Commission said two programs at Pierpont Community and Technical College are "exemplary."
The programs are Baking and Pastry Specialization and Food Service Management.
Accreditation teams evaluated the program's mission and goals, organization and administration, and faculty and staff.
"It distinguishes Pierpont in the region as a national leader in Culinary Arts and Baking and Pastry arts. That's been one of our goals from the beginning," said Brian Floyd, of the school of Human Services.
"It says that we meet a very strict set of standards set by the American Culinary Federation, which is the largest chef federation in the country," said Jay Mahoney, of CEC.
Pierpont is the only nationally accredited Baking and Pastry program in West Virginia and one of 75 in the country.
