A pair of West Virginia University football players were arrested following weekend incidents in Monongalia County.
On Saturday, junior safety Travis Bell was arrested and charged with domestic battery.
According to the criminal complaint, state police were called to his Hayden Lane residence on Saturday for a domestic dispute. The victim claims Bell hit her, threw her to the ground and threw her around by the hair. A witness also said Bell made verbal threats to the victim.
Bell has since been released from jail.
In a separate incident Karl Myrthell Joseph, 19, a freshman was arrested for DUI under the age of 21, and possession of false ID.
Joseph was pulled over Sunday shortly before 3 a.m., for driving without his headlights on. Morgantown Police then discovered he had a second ID card in his wallet.
Chief Ed Preston said Joseph blood alcohol content was .054.
