West Virginia author Betty Larosa recently published her fifth book.
Larosa is from Bridgeport and was at the Bridgeport Library on Saturday to sign the last book in her series.
The books are fiction novels based on the civil war. The final book in the series is a ghost story called, "Haunting at Howard Hill."
The books are centered on the Creighton family and the first one was published in 2007.
Larosa said her biggest surprise is who reads her books.
"My biggest surprise is the men. They are my most avid readers and I get the most feedback from them. It really surprised me. They said it's because of the way I wrote, and it moved them," said Larosa.
All of the books in the series are available on amazon.com, the James and Law Company, your local library, or you can order one from Larosa herself.
