Students at Nutter Fort Primary School celebrated the Chinese New Year Friday.
They've been studying Chinese culture and language for the past four years.
The students have learned how to say Chinese words, how to make coin purses, and have even practiced a little Kung Fu.
Principal Joann Gilberts said teaching children about different cultures of today, will lead to a better future for them tomorrow.
"Students learning a second language have a very big benefit as they go out into the work force to be competitive, it increases their critical thinking skills, their creativity so it's just a win, win situation for them," Gilbert said.
Gilbert said this is the final year for the Chinese program at Nutter Fort.
