A Morgantown man is looking at bringing a sober living house to Morgantown.
Morgantown Sober Living Incorporated is a newly formed non-profit in the process of purchasing a house on Spruce Street.
Fourteen recovering alcoholics or narcotics addicts will live at the home and be required to attend a 12-step recovery program, attended AA or NA meetings, participate in random drug testing and be required to work, volunteer, or attend classes.
"There is a huge need in Morgantown. Morgantown has a huge drug and alcohol problem, and I personally, I went to Minnesota and stayed in Minnesota to live in a sober living home because one doesn't exist in Morgantown," said Doug Leech, of Morgantown Sober Living, Inc.
If zoning is approved on the home this month it could be open by April.
