It will soon be a lot easier to find court records in Lewis County.
The Lewis County Circuit Clerk's office has received a $10,000 grant to scan and save the county's older records.
The county will buy four scanners to digitize the records.
The county keeps its records in different locations and scanning them will make it easier for people to find the records they need.
"A person comes in, they want a certain case number, we can pull it up on the screen and print off a copy of it in much less time," said Circuit Clerk John Hinzman.
Hinzman said his office hopes to get the scanners and begin its work later this year.
