MVB MVP: RCB Forward Alicia Noble

"This year its been really nice because everyone has been contributing offensively. So this year I think I've become a more well-rounded player. I kind of focus on all aspects of the game," RCB senior forward Alicia Noble said.

When you think of RCB girl's basketball, Alicia Noble is one of the first names that comes to mind, and it's not because of her long career at the varsity level. It's the way she has continued to produce for a team that has finally cracked the top five in the state.

"My teammates have been really huge in helping me do that because without them scoring, it was a lot of pressure on me and they just really stepped it up as a team," Noble said.

Alicia's 16 points and seven rebounds per game lead the way for the Lady Eagles. She even scored her 1,000th point earlier in the season. She said it was a moment she will keep with her forever.

"It was nice to get that milestone off my back because everyone since the season had started was like, 'this is the season, it's going to happen.' I was like, 'okay this is a lot of pressure," Noble laughed.

When Alicia graduates this spring, RCB will not be through with the Noble family. Her brother Justin is a sophomore on the boys team. He says it makes for a more competitive household with their parents.

"I think it's real cool. I think it's kind of like a competition thing. We can one up each other," Alicia's brother Justin said. "They're both rooting for us but sometimes it gets a little heated."

"It's really neat to watch him play and I get to also sing at all the boys games. It's really fun to have that sports connection with him," Noble said.
