CrossFit 1863 is the first-ever CrossFit exercise facility to open in Harrison County.
Co-owner of the new location, Mindy Layne, described the workout as a "strength and conditioning program built around functional movements."
Some of the typical movements include lifting, rowing, jumping rope, and sprinting.
Layne said workouts can be as short as 3 minutes, but don't usually last much longer than an hour.
"Basically people want to workout in a short timeframe and that's what CrossFit can offer," Layne said.
