Mon General Hospital held a Women's Extreme Makeover event at the Waterfront Place Hotel in Morgantown Saturday.
The event kicked off the "Go Red for Women" heart disease month, which is in February.
The event is geared towards women so that they can be more aware of the impact stress and cardiovascular disease can have on heart disease.
"Heart disease is the number one killer for women," said Latoya Linton-Frazier, a Cardiologist at Mon General Hospital. "Most women still consider cancer as the leading cause of death so the entire program is to just bring awareness to the disease. I would certainly encourage women to be active participants in their health."
A continental breakfast, different vendors, and discussions on heart disease were provided for the women attending.
