The Bridgeport Farmers Market held a community dinner at the Bridgeport Conference Center Monday night to raise money for the market.
This was the first of three community dinners the farmers market will hold this year.
The menu featured a variety of food made from the ingredients sold at the market.
"Most all of the food this evening is from local growers who are a part of our farmers market team, the Bridgeport Farmers Market. Fish Hawk Acres did a lot of the produce tonight. We had Gardner Farms who we bought our hams from, great smoked hams. The desserts were all made by local folks as well. It was a big collaboration, everybody worked together to make it happen" said Scott Duarte, general manager of the Bridgeport Conference Center.
The next community dinner will be held March 17. It will have a St. Patrick's Day theme with corned beef and cabbage.
