Fans packed the Lincoln High School gymnasium Friday night to help the girls basketball team "shoot for a cure."
This is the third year Lincoln has hosted the event, which included raffles and a T-shirt sale. All money raised will be go towards breast cancer awareness projects.
"Supporting cancer is really important to me. Several of my family members and friends have had cancer, who've battled cancer. To see what they've been through and knowing there can be a cure and having that money to find that cure, it means the world to me," said cheerleader Johnna Akers.
At halftime, the community honored survivors and those who lost their lives to the disease.
