The Fourth Annual Little Princess Ball brought fathers and daughters together at North Bend State Park in Cairo Saturday night.
More than 20 little girls and their dads attended the party that included a lot of activities with a princess theme.
"It gives them a chance to connect together they get to do arts and crafts together, do different activities, play games, and the whole evening culminates with a father-daughter dance" said Ken Zebo, the North Bend Park Activities Coordinator.
The girls get to dress like princesses and spend one-on-one time with their dads.
"It's a great time for dads and daughters to get together and spend some quality time together" Zebo said.
One father said he appreciates what North Bend State Park puts together for them.
"It's a really great program they have here, and it's great for the dads and girls to get out and enjoy some time just the two of us" said Nick Garst, a father who attended.
The fathers and daughters get a chance to spend time with each other, while doing activities. One girl said her favorite part is the dance.
"He can pick me up and dip me, and it's really really fun" said Alayna Garst, a daughter who attended.
Another girl likes all the different activities.
"You get to make ice cream sundaes and you get to dance and there's lots of crafts and it's really awesome" said Ellie Whited, a daughter who attended.
Zebo said they have a lot of return father-daughter pairs, and the Garst's are one of them.
"We've come every year and we just really enjoy the time together and dancing, and we really enjoy it" Nick Garst said.
The age range for the party is five to twelve, and even when the girls get too old there are always new girls coming in their place.
"It's a steady event of course every year it kind of fluctuates depending… some girls will age out and in turn some girls will come of age to come to it" Zebo said.
