Many people are speaking out online after Preston County schools stayed open despite heating issues.
About 200 comments are on Facebook suggesting Preston Schools should have closed Wednesday.
The heating unit problems caused Terra Alta Schools to close.
The district maintenance coordinator said the issue at Preston High affected five rooms.
It took about four hours to return the heat to normal.
"Sometimes we just have to be patient," said Neil Likins, maintenance coordinator. "We're here to serve the students and do the best we can. We just have to work together on these things. We have a small crew of people that maintenance these buildings and we do the best we can."
Likins said heat issues Thursday impacted the High School's cafeteria but it was fixed quickly.
