Judge Jamie Wilfong sworn in the new Randolph County Sheriff and other elected officials on Thursday.
Mark Brady will assume his new duties on Jan 1.
Brady has been a chief deputy for three years.
He said he looks forward to working with the people in the county, and continuing the traditions of the sheriff's department.
Brady said he wants his department to continue to be progressive.
"We have a great working staff here at the office, good employees great group of workers to work with and a great county to work in. We want to continue that tradition, we've been serving the people since 1787 with the Randolph County Sheriff's Office and we'll continue to do so," said Brady.
Wilfong also swore several other newly-elected officers including Magistrate and Magistrate Clerk, Assessor, Prosecuting Attorney, and County Commissioner.
