The Union Mission in Fairmont has been renovating its building for more than a year now.
Mission Director George Batten said no upgrades have been made to the facility since it was built in 1969.
The Mission received a $602,000 grant from the Affordable Housing Program for renovations.
The top floor now has personal rooms, closets, and a shared bathroom.
Batten said the Mission will move in residents just in time for Christmas.
"We're about ready to open the first wing of the renovation," said George Batten, Union Mission director. "We're really pleased with what we have for our clients."
Construction will begin on the bottom floor of the mission in the coming months.
