If you're headed to the Marion County Courthouse to pay a bill for work or to a meeting, the Commission wants to encourage you to bring an extra jacket.
The Marion County Commissioners are sponsoring its annual coat and clothing drive.
Through December 21, you can drop off new or gently used clothing in the box on the first floor of the J. Harper Building, or in the courthouse.
"We're going to have coats and jackets and hats you can drop off at the courthouse and there is a food drive also," said Butch Tennant, Marion County commissioner. "We have boxes available in the courthouse."
All collected items will go to "Penny Pincher Thrift Store" in downtown Fairmont where they will be handed out to the public for free.
