The Lewis County Commission has accepted a grant from the Federal Emergency Management Agency to help with damage from the June derecho.
The commission spent more than $40,000 on staff and equipment after the storm.
It has voted to accept the grant to help recover those expenses.
Commission President Pat Boyle said it took some time to put a comprehensive list together.
"It probably took us a good three months after the storm to find out exactly what all expenses were use with overtime, sheriff departments and OEMS's and 911 as well as generator costs," Boyle said.
