Several fire departments responded to a house fire in Marion County early Wednesday morning.
It started around 3:00 a.m. at a home on Main Avenue in Grant Town.
Grant Town Volunteer Fire Chief, John Riley, said the home owners were on their way to Florida when the fire started and no one was in the residence.
He says the fire was under control within 30 minutes, but the house is considered a total loss.
A Barrackville Firefighter received a minor injury when a fire hose hit him in the eyebrow. He was transported to Fairmont General Hospital for stitches.
No major injuries are reported.
The cause of the fire is unknown, but firefighters believe it may have started in the living room.
Barrackville, Farmington, Fairview, Mannington, Baxtor, and Grant Town Volunteer Fire Departments responded.
The Marion County Sheriff's Department, Grant Town Police, and Grant Town EMS were also on scene.
Grant Town Volunteer Fire Department is investigating.
