Friends of West Virginia University Hospitals celebrated the fourth annual Festival of Trees event Friday night.
This year's theme was "A Big 12 Christmas." Trees were decorated with the theme in mind, including a WVU football tree with ornaments signed by each player.
Coach Dana Holgerson was the honorary chairman.
"At least two players are on each ornament. The coach signed a mini helmet at the top," said Jane Clark, president of Friends of WVU Hospitals. "Of course, in all blue and gold and it's just perfect for somebody's bar, or their office, or something like that. So, we're really excited about that one and hope it brings a lot of money for us."
Donations from the silent auction will go to the Comfort Fund. This organization is a part of the Mary Babb Randolph Cancer Center and helps cancer patients undergoing chemotherapy pay for things like hotel rooms, gas and other needs.
