The city of Clarksburg may get a brand new playground in the next year.
Clarksburg City Parks is looking at what to do with property on Wood Street, but the Parks Board is still weighing its options.
"The property was donated by the Highland heirs a few years ago. We have done a survey of the neighborhood, they are very receptive of a park. But the board is still discussing possible uses for the property," said John Cooper of Clarksburg City Parks.
Cooper said the board should have a decision in about three months, and if it does decide to turn the property into a playground, that would take about eight months.
