The Marion County Solid Waste Authority wants residents to know about restrictions at its recycling locations during the holidays.
The SWA said it takes all number one and number two plastics, aluminum and steel cans, newspaper, and cardboard.
It asks the public to remove the containers' contents and to put them into the appropriate section.
The SWA said it has a problem with people dropping off garbage.
"We'll get garbage, bags of just about everything imaginable. We don't have the man power or the funds to take that to the dump," said Bobbi Benson, of the Solid Waste Authority. "We're in the process of coming up with money, we're going to install license plate cameras."
The SWA is also collecting unwanted Christmas lights and non-metallic wrapping paper at its office on Route 250.
