The Fairmont Urban Renewal Authority is holding a design competition to bring a historic building back to life.
Nine Fairmont State University architecture students will design redevelopment plans for the Masonic Temple Building.
The student whose design best matches the project goals will win an engraved plaque and cash.
The project is funded by a Northern West Virginia Brownfield Assistance Center grant.
"It's a, I think an exciting project," said Katherine Wyrosdick, Fairmont City Planner. "We try to do this a little unique and engage the students whenever we can in project such as this."
Plans will be displayed at the Marion County Courthouse December 3 through December 7.
The community is welcome to vote for its favorite plan.
