A leadership change is coming to the Convention and Visitors Bureau of Marion County.
The CVB Board of Directors recently accepted Marianne Moran's retirement request.
Leisha Elliott will take over that position in January.
During Moran's time as executive director, the CVB received more than $650,000 in grants to promote Marion County as a tourist destination.
"I served as the president of the West Virginia Association of Convention of Visitors Bureaus. I was appointed to the West Virginia Tourism Commission and I got us into a new visitor's center. So it's always good if you are going retire or leave a job to go out on a real positive note. So it's time," Moran said.
The CVB Board of Directors will host a retirement party for Moran on December 5.
