A member of the Grafton community is working to keep the homeless warm this winter.
Billy Davis has collected more than 3,000 ties in a years time, resulting in the production of seven quilts.
Davis said he has had people send them from Florida, Ohio, Pennsylvania, and even as far as India.
Thursday, he donated four of his quilts to the Bread of Life Mission in Taylor County to provide a sense of comfort for those in need.
"I thank God for all the help I got through this," Davis said. "I thank Carol for helping, thank Aunt Rosie for sewing. Thank everyone that sent ties to me."
Davis said creating quilts is something he wants to continue to do.
His goal is to collect 16,000 ties.
