Student veterans at West Virginia University are telling the community about their military experiences.
Five veteran students discussed their experiences at the Clear Mountain Bank in Morgantown Tuesday.
The Student Veterans Speak Out presentation is a part of a class the students are taking at the University.
The veterans have also spoken to Morgantown High students. One veteran said it's important they hear their message.
"I work with the young marines in Washington County, and though I could never be a drill instructor, I'm trying to instill values on them; honor, courage, commitment, and it basically transcends to them by speaking to the high school students, because that's the future of our country, and it's are job to make sure they are set up to run this country because it's going to happen before you know it," said Christopher Morris, a WVU student veteran.
The Student Veterans Speak Out Series is a twist on the school's popular Athletes Speak Out events.
