On Friday, Morgantown Public Works unveiled the city's freshly-painted snow plow blades.
Ten schools in Morgantown participated in painting the plows for Public Works. Each plow has its own unique design.
North Elementary students said painting the plows was almost as fun as a snow day.
"It was fun because we got to splat like in the sky. We got to splat a bunch of paint, like pour some paint and we had to hurry up and paint it. So I think that was the most fun part," said Melia Milam, a student at North Elementary.
City Engineer Damien Davis said the painting of the plows has been going on since the city learned about the idea in 2006 at an American Public Works Conference.
