Some bed and breakfast places are honoring veterans around the country and their offering a free place for veterans to stay overnight.
The Gillum House in Shinnston started the tradition in 2008 and two years later, more than 900 bed and breakfasts in the US and other countries had joined in as well.
"We wanted to stay thank you to the military and to the unsung hero. The partner, spouse who takes care of everything else while their military person is deployed or on a TDY," said Kathleen Panek, Gillum House owner.
Establishments are offering the free night on November 11.
The Gillum House has two veterans staying free for three nights starting Friday.
