A new surgical tool at Mon General Hospital is like a piece of art.
The da Vinci Surgical System is now available for gynecologic surgeries.
Doctors said the tool mimics the movement of wrists and fingers, allowing them to perform surgeries easier.
The da Vinci system is less invasive than open surgery, meaning patients have a smaller incision and shorter recovery time.
"It just brings another level to what we can offer patients essentially so we have everything available that other hospitals in the region have," said Dr. Jamie Lesnock, of Mon General Hospital.
The da Vinci system is gaining popularity at hospitals nationwide.
