Gas stations in the mountain counties may not be pumping gas because of the power outage, but some are still doing business.
The Sheetz station in Philippi was open Thursday selling food and other supplies to tide customers over until the power comes back.
Those customers said it may not solve all of their problems, but it does help.
"It's nice, but it's still frustrating because they don't have milk and stuff that I need for the babies, so I still have to travel to go get it, but it's still nice that they're open and they have something. You don't have to travel completely out of town," said Sheetz customer Heather Brown, who came by to pick up supplies for a friend.
More than 6,000 MonPower customers in Barbour County were waiting for the lights to come back on Thursday evening.
