Marion County emergency workers have gone through several training courses to make sure everyone is on the same page in case of an emergency.
The June 29th wind storm knocked down a utility tower in Parkersburg causing a Marion County generator to fail.
The radio system went down for a few hours but never was completely down.
The county said it learned from its experience and that everyone will be on the same page during Hurricane Sandy.
"Our communications work. We have redundant phone lines, redundant phone systems," said Chris McIntire, of Marion County 911. "We have extra backup; we have generators."
All three dispatch shifts go into disaster mode once a month and exercise all of the disaster equipment.
