The West Virginia State Council Vietnam Veterans of America are raising funds for a new project that will benefit veterans.
The project is to construct a Vietnam Veterans Mobile Wall that will serve as a memorial for all West Virginia Veterans.
Over 700 West Virginians that were killed in action, held as prisoners of war, and those still missing in action in Vietnam will have their names displayed.
The Mobile Wall will travel through out every county in the state.
"They'll come set it up and once they are there they'll have a guard on it," said Mannington mayor Robert Garcia. People will stay there and be able to come see it. Once they are done they will pack it up and bring it back to Fairmont. It will be stored here in Fairmont."
The project is expected to cost a total of $20,000.
The State Council has already raised $7,000.
