Kids were invited to take a free flight over Buckhannon on Saturday.
The local chapter of the Experimental Aircraft Association gave first time flyers a taste of aviation during a Young Eagles Day at the Buckhannon Upshur Regional Airport.
Pilots and their planes donated their time to take kids on a 15 minute flight.
Organizers said its great way for them to be introduced into a hobby or a career.
"What this is it's a program designed by the Experimental Aircrafts Association to give kids 8 to 17 a totally free airplane ride to help spark their interest in aviation and maybe go on and be a recreational pilot or professional pilot, said Richard Judy, EAA member.
The EAA is trying to fly 350,000 kids per year through its young eagles program.
The local chapter tries to do four events a year.
