The Marion County 911 Dispatch Center plans to move its storage items into a brand new building in Fairmont.
The Marion County Commission is seeking proposals for the construction of the storage unit.
The building will hold equipment and emergency supplies that are currently stored in the Marion County election center.
The new building will allow easier access to supplies necessary during emergencies.
"We could manage our supplies a lot better if we have them in one central spot where we could distribute the supplies to the citizens fast and effectively," said Chris McIntire, of the Marion County Emergency Center.
The Marion County Commission will receive proposals for construction of the building until October 26.
