The Mountain State Forest Festival was in full swing in Elkins Wednesday.
Wednesday's events included the last preliminary round of the festival's annual talent show.
Contestants have competed in a variety of genres over the past three nights.
Each night's winners will take the stage again Thursday night to compete for the grand prize.
Contestants said the chance to perform at the festival is a big part of why they come out.
"I do a lot of small shows and stuff like that, but this is the one I look forward to every year, because of the crowd," said singer Cub Hammonds, who performed without background music because, he said, his dog literally ate his music!
The finals of the competition will kick off Thursday at 7:00.
