The West Virginia Oil and Gas Expo was held in Morgantown Wednesday.
The second annual event was at the Mylan Park Expo Center.
Organizers said the expo was bigger and better this year.
The event supports the local oil and gas industry but organizers said there's a misconception that most companies are major national groups.
"With natural gas in the state there has been a lot of business coming into the area, and this expo gave an opportunity for our local companies here in West Virginia to get there and see what other services are offered, what technologies are offered and have a chance to display what they do," said Damian Ferek, of the W.Va. Oil and Gas Expo.
Nearly 300 local businesses had booths set up at the event. Organizers hoped more than 2,000 people attended.
