Pierpont Community and Technical College and Fairmont State University were added to the 2013 Military Friendly School list.
The schools made the list by exhibiting leading practices in the recruitment and retention of students with military experience.
Victory Media is a veteran owned small business that put the list together after surveying more than 12,000 VA-approved schools nationwide.
The schools strive to make the transition from military to student life a little easier.
"We are just grateful for the services that the veterans and military personnel provided to our country and we think this is one way to show our gratitude by making it easier for them to make that transition," said Cynthia Hudok, Financial Aid Director.
The schools hope to continue expanding programs and services directed towards helping veterans and military personnel.
Victory Media has also named Davis and Elkins College a Military-Friendly School.
This is the third straight year the school has made the list.
Victory Media focuses on military personnel making the transition back into civilian life and honors the top 15 percent of colleges, universities, and trade schools doing the most to embrace veterans.
Among other distinctions, the school was commended for counting military training for college credit and for having a veterans organization with a veterans center.
