Conference Coaches Chose WVWC to Top Women’s Soccer

The West Virginia Wesleyan College women's soccer team won the WVIAC Regular Season Championship in 2011. The Lady Bobcats are poised to do that again according to the 2012 Preseason Coaches' Poll. Wesleyan received five first place votes and 111 total points, making the Lady Bobcats the top preseason team.

Alderson-Broaddus won the 2011 WVIAC Tournament Championship. The Lady Battlers also received five first place votes but A-B's total came to 109 points, putting the team in second place in the preseason poll.

The University of Charleston is the third pick for the conference coaches. The Golden Eagles received one first place vote and 93 total points.

Just one point below is Davis & Elkins. The Lady Senators received 92 total points, good enough for a fourth place spot. D&E got five third place votes. The Senators upset Wesleyan in the 2011 WVIAC Tournament before falling to A-B in the championship game.

Shepherd rounds out the top five in preseason voting with 74 points. The Rams were good for one third place vote and two fourth place votes.
