Card collectors across the country were excited this week when a recently-discovered card collection was valued at nearly $3-million.
The collection consists of roughly 700 cards, some more than 100 years old.
Area collectors gathered in Morgantown to buy, sell and trade their collections Sunday
Collectors said the rare find is good for business, but not quite as much as having the Pirates in first place.
"Anytime something like that happens, it always peaks for a week or so, because everybody get their interest and starts searching their attic, but it kind of dies down. But anytime you have a team in your area in first place, or at least contending, that's a bigger help," said Jason Martin of Chef Martin Cards.
The rare card collection was found in an Ohio attic.
