Wings Ole' in Fairmont is a staple not just for college kids, but for the entire community too.
Regulars and employees said the establishment is credited for it's unique combination bleu cheese and french fries.
"My grandmother would actually be responsible for the bleu cheese recipe," said Dan Nagowski, Manager at Wings Ole' in Fairmont.
But Dad and Grandpa are credited with opening up the business more than 30 years ago in Morgantown.
"My dad was up at the university for college and at that time there weren't too many other places to eat at in Morgantown. My dad was complaining about there being no places to eat chicken wings in West Virginia and he should come down and try and open up a restaurant. So he did," Nagowski said.
Now it's much more than wings.
"A full line of Mexican, American cuisine with a Polish and Vietnamese twist," Nagowski said.
Wings Ole' has two locations in Morgantown and one in Fairmont.
Fairmont State University graduates still remember to stop by their favorite college restaurant when they're back in town.
"Actually, I went to Fairmont State when it was a college. We used to come here for fries and bleu cheese and chicken burritos. I wanted to come back. I live in Charleston now, so I wanted to come back for lunch," said Prudence Ross, a Fairmont State Graduate.
In more than three decades of business, Wings Ole' became notorious for its fries and bleu cheese.
Even new customers at Wings Ole' said, "you gotta try the bleu."
"It's really good. It's really different. That is kind of good," said Noble Moss, after trying fries and bleu cheese for the first time at Wings Ole'.
Moss said regardless of what you get, it's sure to hit home.
"After working all day and when you're really hungry. You just want that place to satisfy you. And this place did it. It was really good," Moss said.
