A Morgantown area group called Friendly Car People came together for its second annual benefit car show Saturday.
All day cars filled the parking lot at the Mountaineer Mall, raising money for Animal Friends of North Central West Virginia, a no kill animal sanctuary.
Organizers said putting together a car show is an easy way to raise money, because people are never shy when it comes to showing off their pride and joy.
"Everyone just likes to bring out there cars, and show them to each other, and try to see who can take home the biggest trophy," said Scott Hoffer from Friendly Car People.
All proceeds from the show were given back to the Animal Friends and this year the total was $1,979.
Last year the car show raised money for the West Virginia University Children Hospital.
