The Harrison County Sheriff's Department responded to a structure fire on Oak Street in Laurel Valley Monday.

The fire occurred around 12:45 p.m. on Monday afternoon.

The Harrison County Sheriff's Department arrested Raymond T. McIntire, 33, of Clarksburg and charged him with first degree arson.

Harrison County Sheriff Albert Marano said McIntire lived in the house.  McIntire had a domestic violence hearing in Harrison County Family Court  on May 7, where he lost custody of the house, according to the criminal complaint.  McIntire told witnesses that he didn't want his children in the area anymore.

Sheriff Marano said the house is a total loss and no one was injured.

Harrison County Magistrate Keith Marple arraigned McIntire and set his bail at $100,000.
